Finding and retaining great professionals is not easy, nor is it without risk. I need to make sure anyone that I refer into my client has the expertise and integrity to serve my client well. Just knowing names and numbers isn’t enough. I need to really know, like and trust these people. I need to know their strengths and the quality of their work. Filling my quiver with the sharpest arrows can be a challenge but it is an absolute necessity if I am going to be a real asset to my clients. Here is one way that I control the quality of the connections I make.
Over the past year and a half, I joined with a small group of Sacramento based professionals and formed the Trusted Advisors Group of Sacramento (“TAG”). We are currently establishing our not-for-profit (501 (c) (6) business league) organization and building the infrastructure to support our purpose. During this period our group has carefully and selectively grown very nicely.
We have a group of very experienced advisors from a broad spectrum of professionals including Lawyers, CPA’s, Bankers, Insurance Brokers, Financial Advisors, M&A Advisors, Business Coaches and Consultants covering several other areas. Our expressed purpose is to collaborate in order to produce outrageous results for our clients.
This is not just a business development networking group – though it is very good at that. We are focused on truly understanding what each member of TAG can do for our clients. Through this understanding we develop trust that allows us to confidently refer our clients to the best and brightest professionals. This makes us all more valuable to our clients and to the business community.
