Steve’s Bio

I am a business executive with over 30 years of experience providing financial acumen and leadership to privately held small to mid size businesses. I have been successful assisting management teams to drive shareholder value in both high growth and turnaround environments in a variety of industries, including durable goods manufacturing, food processing, real estate, plastics, commercial printing, and technology.

I take pride in being able to quickly assess a company's key profit drivers, assist in the development of plans to improve performance and then implement metrics that track the effectiveness of those plans. I am very analytical and detail oriented, but also possess the interpersonal skills necessary to build strong teams and collaborate across functions and departments to get things done. I am able to build processes and implement best practices to improve productivity and efficiency, but am also able to see the forest for the trees and provide a financial perspective to strategy development and execution.

My professional tool kit includes all the typical CFO skills such as cash management, trend analysis, budgeting & forecasting, credit & collections, tax planning, bank relationship building and M&A transaction planning and execution, but I also have extensive experience in the areas of salary and benefit administration, risk management and contract negotiation. My target clients are companies facing challenges and opportunities where I can leverage my financial savvy to provide clarity and focus to ownership and help them grow the value in their businesses.
